The Emirate of Fujairah is located on the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula and bordered by the Gulf of Oman from the east, which is part of the Arabian Sea connected with the Indian Ocean, by the emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah from the west, by the Sultanate of Oman from the north and by the Emirate of Sharjah from the south.

Diba Al Fujairah
Dibba Al Fujairah is considered the cradle of the oldest historical civilizations that were in the United Arab Emirates. it is located in the far north of the Emirate of Fujairah. It contains a lot of charming sandy beaches, mountain ranges and clean water. Diba is famous with several castles and monuments. Its history goes back to ancient ages where it was an important trade center during the Phoenician age.
During many stages of the history, Al Bedyah was inhabited by residents and was a prominent place for accommodation since the dawn of history. It lies to the north of Fujairah city on 38 km and on 25 km from Deba city. Al Bedyah is famous of its antique mosque which is considered one of the oldest mosques in the UAE and surrounded by the walls of Al Bedyah castle.
In the heart of the mountains and at the crossroads leading to Fujairah city from one part and the city of Diba from the other part, Masafi which has fresh water and streaming valleys is located. Masafi is famous of “Souk Al Jumaa”, a local distinctive market, which a visitor coming from Sharjah to Dubai can meet it before arriving to Masafi. This market offers a lot of local goods such as vegetables, fruits and ornamental plants, as well as, local pottery products, woolen carpets and other.
The village of Qidfa lies on the coastal road stretching from Fujairah city to Dibba city for about 18 kilometers from Al Fujairah. An antique horseshoe-shaped cemetery whose history goes back to 500 BC was found in Qidfa. Also, a lot of bronze-made weapons, pottery pots and jewelry, which are currently displayed at the National Museum of Al Fujairah, was found in the cemetery.
From Fujairah city to the mountains towards Sharjah and Dubai at a distance of 15 kilometers in the heart of “Ham” valley, the city of Al Bathnah, which spreads the fragrance of the history, is located. An antique temple dated back to the second millennium BC and a historical Islamic citadel, which proudly stands to shield the vital paths in the valley of “Ham”, one of the most important paths linking between the east and the west of the emirates through masterpiece stony mountains, are existed in the temple.
