Time has been running since we got back from our trip to Syria. It is really time to write to you and tell you about my feeling for this trip.
I can truly say it was a very nice and interesting trip. I enjoyed your country and its hospitality very much. I have been around to most of the Middle East Countries (Yemen, Oman Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain) as well as lived in Saudi Arabia which means I have a lot of experience. All countries are of course beautiful in different ways, but Syria is really on the top. We were very lucky to hit the spring time which of course made everything especially beautiful.
I enjoyed the souk of Aleppo and Damascus which for me now are the best souks in the Middle East. Aleppo´s was very beautiful and Damascus had a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere.
The best of course were all the people we met. They were all so friendly and open in a way I never met here before. Traveling as a women is always a bit suspicious in the Middle East but they never hesitated to get in touch with us in a very nice way.
Our driver was soon nice always eager to help and trying his best to make it good for us. He was so concerned.
Thank you so much for all your concern along the road. You made our week a wonderful experience!

Two weeks after our return back to Switzerland we would like to say thank you for the excellent service we had in Syria and also in Jordan. Every day in the program was a climax and we had unforgettable excursions. A special and warm thank goes to the driver, because he was not only a quiet and wonderful driver, but also he was a regardful guide and a fatherly friend. So we send for him two photos attached together in a Word-Document as a souvenir from our trip.

Here is just a quick note to let you know that our group made its way back to Switzerland safely. We had a magnificent trip through Syria and Turkey we won’t forget!
