Arabic Language Center (ALC)

Located on the campus of Damascus University, ten-minute driving distance from the city center by public transportation.

• Teaches Modern Standard Arabic.
• 15-20 students per class room.
• Curriculum:  Al Kitaab Al Assasi, published by the Arab League.
• Weekly holiday: Friday and Saturday.
• Each student will take a placement test to determine his/her appropriate level.
• Upon successful completion of each level, a certificate of completion will be granted by the Institute.

• Levels:

1. Beginner 1
2. Beginner 2
3. Beginner 3
4. Pre-Intermediate
5. Intermediate
6. Upper Intermediate
7. Advanced 1
8. Advanced 2

Courses are conducted as follows:

Levels 1 - 6:  80 hrs / 5 days / 20  hrs per week (from 09:00 until 13:00)

Levels 7 & 8: 90 hrs / 5 days / 22.5 hrs per week (from 09:00 until 14:00)

Mezzeh Institute

Arabic Teaching Institute for Non-Arabic Speakers (SAR)

• Located in Mezzeh district, twenty-minute driving distance from city center by public transportation.
• Teaches Modern Standard Arabic.
• 20 -25 students per class room.
• Curriculum: published by the Ministry of education
• Week holiday: Friday and Saturday.
• Each student will take a placement test to determine his/her appropriate level.
• Upon successful completion of each level, a certificate of completion will be granted by the Institute.

• Levels:

     1st  Phase: Levels 1 through 4

     2nd Phase: Levels 5 & 6

Courses for all levels are conducted for 14 weeks for each level (From 9:00 until 12:30)
